Finals are Over!
Well, college finals for the fall 2012 semester are officially over! I enjoyed my many weeks for the most part and learned quite a bit, but it is nice to get a break. I will have 3 weeks to myself, and then I will be going back for the next semester. Guess I will be breeding rabbits, spinning, knitting, and crocheting, and probably doing some other activities (like looking through seed catalogs:)...). It will be weird having this spare time as I am used to making the most of my time so perhaps I will put it into good use...
I tried to get some of my French Angora does bred before but the buck just wasn't cooperating. I'm hoping he will do better for me these few weeks so that I can get some beautiful litters on the ground. Maybe my other bucks will start getting the idea...they are still young yet.
We have 4 Lionheads available for sale. 1 jr. lilac-tort buck, 1 jr. REW doe, 1 jr. black buck, and 1 jr. sable/seal point buck. We also have 2 Netherland Dwarf does for sale as well. Prices are priced to sell, as we have to move them out to make room for babies. If you are looking for a nice pet for Christmas or perhaps some great breeding stock please check out our website!

Guinea Pigs?
Well, I promised my blog followers that I would announce the news that I kept from you:). Two words - guinea pigs.
We now have 2 guinea pigs - an American and a Coronet. The American is a beautiful black boar that has been shown before and showed well. The other is a show quality TSW Coronet boar. Both are very nice quality. I including pics for those who want to see them!
We are probably going to be showing them next year. They are our first pigs so not exactly sure what will become of them in terms of showing, but I guess we'll find out! Also not sure if we are going to breed them or not. Time will tell!
Back to the RABBITRY...
I have been trying to breed two of my French Angoras but with no success. My once reliable herd buck decided to get lazy on me. I have been trying to breed my gorgeous red doe Tangerine to Frederick but he has not been successful yet. I would have loved to get her bred to my tort buck so I would get my favorite color - red- but he is too young yet. I have also been trying to get Freezing Rain bred to Frederick (her father, unfortunately) but also no success. I really need to get her a nice smoke pearl or ideally a sable pearl husband, but have not been able to get one yet. So, I will try to get babies on the ground as soon as possible. That is - as soon as he breeds them! I really miss showing so I want to make every effort to get those 2 bred.
We sold a bunch of our Lionheads but still have some ones left! Please check out our sale page to see whats left! http://www.blossomacresrabbitry.webs.com
